My guest this week only eats meat - that’s all. And when I first heard about her I dismissed her as a crazy fool. But when I heard her moving life story, I changed my opinion 180 degrees. This is the story of how Mikhaila - daughter of the famous professor of psychology, Jordan B. Peterson - and I became firm friends, despite fundamental differences in our approach to food.

Kim, this episode is one of the reasons I am such a fan of your podcast. You are brave enough to apologize to a stranger for a judgement you passed on her that she didn’t even know about, and to reach out and befriend her - a woman who is diametrically opposed to your viewpoint. Not only that, but you bring her onto the podcast to show us the possibility that “the enemy” might be more similar to us than we imagine. Eye - and heart - opening.

I appreciate your complete honesty. I have been oblivious to the conflict between Vegans and Carnivores. This story is a blessing in disguise. Showing how we can read into something and be so judgmental about people. I just love how real and raw you are. How you are so vulnerable with us all.

This episode definitely spoke to me. I've had the opposite experience. I was so sick from eating meat and chose to go vegan. I am about 5 months in o this. We journey and i havent told many because of the fear of being judged. This was very brave to share her story. This episode was just so raw and nice to be able to relate in real life issues.

Didn’t finish my first post, my partner eats meat and I get so many negative comments about that and questions as to how can I have a relationship with someone who eats animals. Well, I choose to be vegan and she chooses to eat meat, simple really. It’s about individual choice. One of the greatest gifts we were born with is making choices and decisions and being open to the experiences of others and not judging others by what we want. So I totally get what this episode was about, very honest ❤️

I loved listening to this episode as it shows you in your rawest and humblest self. Many vegans are so judgemental of others and I don’t really know why that is. I first went vegan in 1988 when I was doing a lot of martial arts. I did t get my diet right and after 2 years I introduced a little fish and eggs into my diet. Vegan food at that time was like cardboard, having to soak tvp chunks in marmite and water overnight to give them sort sort of taste. My partner eats.
